I was looking up random info on the Marine Corps and I came across the IST requirements on one of the sites. It said the minimum sit ups were 35. It threw me off a little so I searched the usmilitary.about.com site and that said that same thing...Confusing the hell out of me!

The booklet we get after we DEP in says 44, and I've always known it to be 44. Either I'm wrong and the books wrong, or these sites are out of date and need to be updated.

Out of date website is my guess. Go with what your recruiter tells you. At our RSS, it's 45+ is passing.

Remember, though, never shoot for the lowest.

44+ is passing, dont worrie about those other sites. Every branch is over flowing, they wouldn't lower the standards.
