Just got my MOS... [Archive] - Marine Corps

I just talked to my recruiter today, and he told me I would be a cryptologic linguist. Before, I never thought I would be able to be a linguist, and I never wanted to be one. But I guess I did well enough on the DLAB (I got a 109) for the position. After looking a little more into it, the job actually looked pretty interesting. Also, I get a $15,000 bonus with that MOS, so that isn't too bad!!:D

Haha congrat's man. Do you have to go to the Defense Language Institute (I think that's what it's called) to learn a language? How long is your congrat?

Yes, I do have to go to the DLI, but I don't know for how long. I don't even know which language I will have to learn.
