I would like to know if an Honorably Discharged Marine (not Retired) Rates the right to where Dress Blues to his own funeral.

Check the link. I do not believe there's a law stopping you from wearing your blues, you earned it. However, you may not qualify for a military burial or be able to be laid to rest in a memorial cemetery.

Even if I had not stayed in long enough to retire, I would still wear mine for my funeral. You are a Marine and you will rate a military funeral regardless if you serve 4 or 40.

I have looked at the Marine ones before. They are really nice. They think so too. Thats why they cost so dang much.

If you are honorably discharged, you rate it. My dad served 4 yrs in our Corps back in the 50's and he had a dual funeral. We had the Police Guards next to the casket for the funeral ceremony and had...
