I'm not into gaining muscle as much as overall bodyweight strength. Gaining muscle is a plus though. I am mainly into calisthenics and old school body weight strengths. Such as human flags, handstand pushups, elbow levers etc. I do lift weights regularly at my local gym though. However, I find working with your own bodyweight is better and healthier and will also help more practically at MCRD.

I do

Mondays-Chest, Shoulders, Tris
Incline Dumbells,
Flys,
Cable Press,
Military Press,
Deltoids raise (Hold a barbell in the center, down at your waist-raise it up to your chin, following your body),
Reverse dumbell Y's( I can't explain it well, hold two dumballs down at your waist, lift them up and make a Y with your arms, lower and repaeat),
Tri pull downs
Other Tricept exercise

Tuesdays-Back, Biceps
Chin up programs, I started doing Drill Instructor's plan from another thread. I like it a lot. (I'll do this at home)
Reverse Fly's
Lat Pull downs
Various other back machines at the gym
Bicepts Curls on a cable

BICEP EXERCISE THAT IS GREAT----
Take a curl bar, start at 30 or 40 pounds
Do these consecutively, NO REST!
Half way up curls, go from the waist to 90 degrees (10reps)
Immediately do full curls (10 reps)
Only go half way down on your last full curl rep
Proceed to do half curls from 90 degrees to all the way up (10 reps)

do this twice, you won't be able to move

Wednesdays- Squats/various other leg
Thursdays-Repeat Monday
Fridays-Repeat Tuesday
Saturday-Repeat Wednesday
Sundays- off

Abs every day whether it be obliques, crunches, or ab machines. Just whatever I feel like really

I do some form of cardio everyday too. Running or biking.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays I usually swim 1000m. Its great for cardio, core and arm/back strength.

I'm not really concerned with sheer size either. I'm just looking for strength too
Also, A lot of this is to work off weekend nights at college.

I don't focus on size, but I have gained about 6lbs of muscle in the past 6 months since I DEP'ed in.

if your referring to the "whats your pt" thread this is completely different. i am talking about weight training. im sure all of us get our pt in everyday, but i want to know who else in here is a dedicated bodybuilder or powerlifter. as in religiously hitting the gym and following a diet to put on some serious muscle.

I am decently fit but not where i want to be. 20 pull ups now, 945 run time but crunches still at 60....sucks. I start a new work out routine given to me by a personal trainer specifically targeting full body strength, endurance and speed. Ill post it up once i get it from him.
