You'll get randomly placed into one of the Ground Option Field's MOS. Personally I like the Combat Support Field more.

If you really want MP you can pretty much guarantee it with the UT Contract, Military Police & Corrections...that's what I did. The other contracts have too many jobs that I'd be kind of upset if I was assigned to them.

When I looked at the b6 field it looked like the it was just bunch of the hard to fill position because most of those position were in other contracts as well

I'm also B6-GO, I'm pretty open minded as far as the MOS choices, I had 8 of the jobs listed on my top ten list that I gave to my recruiter. I ship out next month, my lucky azz got my ship date pushed up just last week.

I think there are a few MOS's on that list that women cant do (Marines/Poolee's correct me if I'm wrong) so that definitely narrows it down to the jobs that I actually want. I'd take anything in the 04xx field, and make a lat move to 0451 once I'm in, I want that MOS the most. It all comes down to the processing and seat availability before and once you get to boot. Just try your best to push through a contract or negotiate with someone from MEPS/your recruiters boss, as to what jobs you want the most.

We have a big pool function tomorrow, we're all getting bussed up to Colts Neck NJ at 0600 in the morning to do the IST and get an evaluation from a few high-up Marines. I'm the only girl in our region, so it should be fun. Word on the streets is that there will be a few drill instructors there.

Good luck poolee.

Depending on when you leave, you have to keep in mind that ALOT of jobs will have open seats in Oct, if you leave after that try and push through a contract for another job if the one(s) you want aren't on that list. How did you do on the ASVAB? That will also factor into your choice selection. I did fairly well, I'm qualified to do just about every job. Let us know how it plays out.
