No, it's true but I guess banned is too strong a word. The "Open Squad Bay" is an area where it is MARINES ONLY, no poolees. And the "Poolee Hall" is an area for Poolees Only, no Marines. Just a place for us to give each other simple advice and share the experience of joining, etc.
Ask a Marine is still open to Marines and for poolees/wannabe's to post questions.
