Hey everybody. Just got back from meps yesterday for the second time. I've been lingering on this site for about a year waiting for the when I could actually join. Finally took the first step.:)

Thanks poolees. As of now my ship date is March 15 but my recruiter is moving it to February, and I will be going to MCRDSD. 03xx. What about you guys?

I am looking for 03xx as well I think it would be awesome to go 0352 anti-tank missileman, or 0311 not sure which I want for sure yet.
But I ship 20100118 hopfully i can get it moved up to the end of the year instead next year :/ but i dono

Hell yeah man. I think any job in infantry would be pretty cool though. I could care less. Yeah the sooner the better. I'm graduating a semester early (December) so me and a friend are trying to plan it where the ten days of leave after boot camp will be when our high school graduation is.

20100411 is when I'm going to the Island - trying, like everyone else, to go sooner. Hopefully getting a 08xx MOS.
Hey congratulations on choosing the path to become a Marine, i was just wondering why you had to go up to MEPS twice. Anyways congrats.

Thanks everybody. I had to go to meps to do the physical the first time but I couldn't swear in because there were no more spots left for the month. So I had to go up again on the first to finish up.

i almost had to go twice because i had wax in my ears and they couldn't get it out but my GySgt. rushed me to this med place and got it done and me back in time

That's weird, I've never heard of having too much wax to be a problem hahaha.

haha before you ship and you go back down there talk to the laison there he'll tell you it's real common
