alright so our dep where i live is studying the general orders. basically the extra credit is to find general order 12, 13, and 14.
all they told us that they are unwritten and made up by other marines.

i have several variations of 12 and 13 but really need 14. if anyone knows them it would be appriciated. thanks in advance.

Second......read these rules......
Read this before posting in Ask A Marine

And Third.....fill out ALL of your profile.

Doesn't anyone bother reading the rules BEFORE they make their first post!

The additional General Orders were made up by Marines, and passed down to Marines via word of mouth. This means that there are going to be different answers and wordings depending on who you talk to.

Obviously....you DIDN'T read the rules.
Rule Three when using the words Marine or Corps on this site they will be capitalized at all times!

As I said before it's going to different according to whom you speak to, but here's an excerpt from Wiki.

From time to time troops using these general orders will create new ones, used jokingly among themselves. The most famous one (commonly referred to in the Army as the 4th General Order) is, "(To/I will) walk my post from flank to flank and take no **** from any rank."[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Orders#cite_note-2) The Navy's so-called "12th General Order" is said to be "Chief is always right" another version is "To cover my ass by knowing the other 11." as in General Orders. Another (possibly referred to as the "13th General Order" in the Navy and Marines, and the "5th General Order" in the Army) is, "To walk my beat, beat my meat, and ****/shoot anything within 50 feet." Others include "Don't get caught," as well as, "Walk my post round and round, **** this ****, I'm sitting down."

Thank you, very helpful. do you happen to know if either of these general orders happen to be number 14, "Walk my post round and round, **** this ****, I'm sitting down." "Don't get caught,"?

I'm not sure which is the 14th unfortunately. I've been in for 4 years and never heard the 14th.
