The Patriot Guard Riders, a group of motorcycle-riding volunteer citizens dedicated to honoring and supporting American troops, escort the motorcade of Individual Augmentees to a welcome-home ceremony at the Naval Support Activity Annapolis, Md., April 29, 2009. Individual Augmentees are sailors who support or “augment” another Navy, Marine Corps or Army command. They usually go to their assignment on temporary orders and return to their current command once they complete their assignment.
