I currently have my EMT-basic and I am required to have continuing ed. hours to keep it. I think that it is 94 hours every four years.

I saw a article that thedrifter posted a while back about Marines in an infantry unit going through advanced medical training so that if needed they could assist the corpsmen or be better prepared if they found themselves without a corpsmen.

So my question is since my mos is 03xx, when I get in the fleet can I volunteer for this advanced training and if I can does it count towards continuing ed. hours?

I would wait and see where you are stationed. Find some local fire or ems stations in the area, find out what classes they are offering to get the credits. You would more than likely only have to take one or two classes a year to keep your certs. Just make sure you don't lose your certifications.
