So I'm all set to head to MEPS. Would have went earlier in April but I was told by my recruiter that me and some other guys had to wait until May because they had already signed their total for April. Anyway, my recruiter also told me that there would be no more recruits shipping until next fiscal year. I want to go infantry but my recruiter told me he couldn't promise me this job. But if all the new jobs come out in Oct and there are only about 6 other poolee's signed to leave next fiscal year (all open contract) it would seem to me that I would be able to get an infantry spot.
What would be better? Sign an open contract and hope that an infantry spot becomes available. Or sign into the DEP and wait for an infantry spot?
