I have few questions about the reserves. First, if i join as a reservist will i get a housing allowance even if i'm not married? Second, i already signed my contract as active duty, can i change it to reserves? Thanks for the help.
You can still switch over to reserves, probably a lot easier then to active. But you will most likely lose your MOS and have a choice of the few that your local reserve unit supports. You won't get BAH (the housing allowance), unless you are on an active duty assignment (AKA, recruiters assistance), and it's very minimal.

Is 0481 a reserve job?
It all depends on your unit.
