I turn 30 in September and was wondering if there is any type of waiver that would allow me to go to basic (interested in Marine Corps Reserves) in the year following. I would go prior to that but am slated to return to college in August of this year. I would like to complete at least a semester of school prior to going to basic. I also have 2 misdemeanor convictions in the last decade (DUI and driving on suspended license) that I was concerned might be an issue. Also, would an age waiver be required if I decided I wanted to go to OCS. I would be around 33-34 at the time of college graduation. Any advice would be appreciated.
