I am 20 years old and looking to join the OCS after graduating college. I have a few simple questions about the process of becoming an officer.
1. What are my chances of being a pilot? it's what I want, but I would be fine with another job.
2. Is TBS spent alone? i've heard you get weekends off and I've heard you are there 24/7...will I get to see my wife during TBS?
- Thanks

You can get better info at www.marineocs.com (http://www.marineocs.com).

Go enlisted first and at least get the rank of SGT and that way you know both sides of the coin, just mt 2 cents.

Call your local Officer Selection Officer, and he can help you out.

You can get guaranteed air, which means if you make it through flight school you will be a pilot. Since I've never been to TBS I cannot answer for certain, but I do know that a prep guide spoke of registering some possessions if you live in base housing. Thus, it would be reasonable to assume that you could have your wife with you if it is possible to not live in the BOQ.
