Details emerge about presidential threats

CAMP LEJEUNE – More information is coming out about a former Camp Lejeune Marine who is accused of making threats against President Obama.
Military investigators say the man is 20-year-old Kody Brittingham, who was arrested in December in connection with a robbery at the Liberty Inn in Jacksonville and the attempted robbery of another Jacksonville hotel.
Investigators say the threats were discovered after Brittingham’s December arrest.
Last week, a Secret Service spokesman confirmed there is an ongoing protective intelligence investigation involving a Camp Lejeune Marine, but wouldn’t give any further information.
Camp Lejeune officials say Brittingham was administratively separated from the Marine Corps on Jan. 3 – pending legal action by civil authorities. He joined the Marines in July, 2007.
