View Full Version : Leaving for Parris Island in 15 days...20090120

Hey guys I am getting ready to head to Parris Island and just had a few questions. First, anyone else here going to be there when I am? Second is, I am currently living in NC with my Mom but I am a PA resident, both my car license and my drivers license are in PA. My cars inspection is due in Febuary, so I am wondering if I should head to PA before Boot Camp to get it inspected. Obviously I can't take it to Parris Island but can I have it at MCT? Thanks for the help

no you cant have it a MCT either but you will be able to take it to your MOS school if they allow it

Yeah man, I leave the 20th..i just found out today. I'm excited but nervous.
Anyway mos is 0311-reservist
Ist-18 pullups
100 crunches
10:20ish on the run...kinda sucks I know.

How could you get it to your MOS school? Are you able to go home between the two or what?
yea so am I. Im only nervous about the IST and CWS-4 once i get past that Ill be a little less worried.

Yea I am definitely excited too and a little nervous/anxious. but I sure can't wait much longer. IST is my biggest concern I think but I know I can handle it.
wil086 looks like well be training for our MOS together...at least I hope i get 1371...My recruiter says I did but I haven't signed the SOU yet

You might be able to go home, you might not it depends when you MOS school classes up, anyways don't worry about it it should be the last thing on your mind right now

I just want to get the title of MARINE SOOOO bad its not even funny. Then MCT afterwards then the fun times kinda begin.

also leaving the 20th graduate high school the 19th bootcamp starts the next day cant wait anyone signed for FAST(infintry)

I graduate and turn 18 the 15th ha. Yeah my mos is Infantry.

I would suggest writing a power of attorney so that you mom would be able to get it done for you. Chances that you would be able to go get it before MOS are slim. Not saying that it isn't possible but have a back up plan.
