I'm just wondering because i wanted to pay off my Dad's car. Thats all, its not everything, frankly, i dont care about it, but it would help my dad. And i'm sorry i ticked the Marines off. The EGA is what's on my mind.

That's some good trash right there. You can look around online but your best bet is to speak with your recruiter and see what comes up.

You may have to wait for a slot to open with a bonus since it sounds like you're trying to lock that down by going Reserves. In that case you'd have to take the DLAB to see if you can even qualify for one of the PMOSs that were mentioned before.

The title Marine is all I wanted to earn, however, the Gunnery Sgt wanted to get me a bonus (or so he says), maybe because I have a family, I have no idea. Yes, I have a bonus coming, but like I said it was the least of my worries and still is.

This MOS does carry a bonus if you get an open spot for it. However, you won't get this bonus for about 2years after going to boot, considering all the training and having to pass DLI to get it.

If you're going to be an 03 it doesn't matter because you won't be a 2671 too. The 2700s are skill designators to specify which middle eastern language a 2671 knows. In my case 2712 I suppose, there were no 2700 designators until the end of my time.

He's trying to get a VA approved loan as we speak, but i want to pay off his car so he doesnt have to worry about paying a $700 a month car payment. And he needs it to do work for the USFS. But, really, i could just send him back money when i get through Boot Camp.

I wonder how common it is for non-SIGINT Marines to be sent to DLI for language training. In this case, how does a grunt get the opportunity to go to DLI?
