Hi everyone,
I have a question about a 'draft dodger' who escaped to Canada during the Vietnam war to avoid being deployed. This man is encouraging current Marines to do the same thing to avoid being deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan (yeah, he is a real 'hero').
The interesting part is that while he claims to be a 'draft dodger' he has apparently, according to himself, served for two years with the Marines and was a Corporal when he fled. This does not add up, how could he be a draft dodger if he was already in the Marines?
My question is, is there any way of finding out if this character really served with the Marines, and if so, for how long and what he did there?
