How Long Does It Take

I got out the Marine Corps Reserves in 2000. I've been trying to get back in for one year now. I've had the unit interview and submitted all the paperwork asked of me. But every time I call the Prior Service Recruiter he says he hasn't heard gotten any word on my package. It's been one year now - I first submitted all my paper work December 2007.

Is this normal? Any advice on what course of action I should take?
