Nice post.
Gunny was a great shooter, teacher, and leader... I miss standing on the 500 yard line at Dam Neck and talking to him.

I had no idea he had lived in VA Beach and was buried in Norfolk until after I left the area. Had I known, I would've gone and paid my respects to one of the greatest Marines ever.

The History Channel program on the USMC Sniper program is also on youtube in whole. Also a good watch. Carlos showed up to Knob Creek one year to people meet and rep his signature Ammo. He will forever be payed tribute to by every movie that has his imfamous "counter snipe thru the scope" he made.
