We were out at one of the local islands after the last storm Gustav. Anyhow I was showing my daughter how to ride waves in on a tube. Well to make a long story short the wave got the best of me....I lost my hat, my glasses and my pride in a matter of seconds. So I was looking for my glasses and found this. A .50 cal bullet burried into a piece of metal. It looks to have rivets in the metal so my guess it's from an airplane wing? We have alot of military man made reefs off our coast so the best I can figure it is from one of them. Anyhow, I thought it was pretty cool. Dave

Great find. Something you could build one of those 'fishing stories' around. Although, it does kinda remind me of how I felt on my first date.
