After 11 weeks, the recruits of 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Bravo Company are just hours away from the start of their crucible and earning the title of United States Marine. During the next 72 hours please keep these young men in your thoughts and prayers. For many, like my son, this has been a life long dream that that is soon to be fulfilled. Words can not describe how proud we are of his accomplishments and decision to serve our great country.

Looking back I think I had a few butterflies before we went to the field. Mostly we were too busy to think much about it. In the end it was really fun!
