Self-Motivation

I was digging through my school work today and I came across my Senior English Portfolio and in one of the chapters (a total of 14 chapters) I found this:


If there were anybody I could emulate it would have to be a Marine. I respect the self-discipline and honor they carry with the title of Marine, a long with all of the personal sacrafices these men and women have made throughout there 233 year old existence.
This was before I even had the thought of signing my DEP contract and even considered the Corps. This right here is my biggest self-motivation along with knowing that my Dad and Grandfather were both great Marines.

That's awesome. Out of my entire family I only have an uncle that was a Marine. My parents were in the army so I can't really say the same thing.

I've had like 25 men in my family that were in the Marine Corps, I'd guess you would call that a family tradition haha. There was only one guy that was different and he was a Seabee. He married into the family haha.

Just wait until you look back at that when you get out of Boot Camp.
