I'm looking to purchase a pull-up for my house and I'm looking at this (http://www.amazon.com/Door-Gym-Longer-Hand-Grip/dp/B000PX7JY2/ref=sr_1_33?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1211769600&sr=8-33) one since I don't have anywhere to put one outside. I was wondering if there are any better brands?

Yup, and they're free.

Monkey bars at playgrounds and sturdy tree limbs/branches. Live off the land, build up a bank account!

My funds are also severely limited, so I threw together a serviceable PT station for under $100.00.

The pull-up bar was a freebie, just a piece of pipe, and the metal strapping cost about $5.00.

I need to upgrade the photos a little... I have added a curl bar, some dumbbells (the kind that take regular metal plates), and a bench, so I have probably spent around $150.00, all total.
