Hello, I'm considering joining the USMC. I just started trying to get in shape for Basic training, and i've noticed that if I do crunches, it makes pushups nearly impossible to do afterwards. Its not so much a pain, but it feels like if I do them that my back is going to cave in.

I would really like to join the Marines, but I think this is a serious problem. Pushups then crunches and I'm good - however, crunches then pushups I can't do. I'll just lay there like a dead animal.


Basically what I'm asking is: what if you are unable to do the required exercises in BT? Are DS's just going to scream at me? Am I going to have to do extra running? Whats up?

We don't have basic training or DS's.
