View Full Version : Marines at MEPS told me that since i got 15 college credits i get promoted....
is this true?
They told me that since i have 15 college credits i can be promoted...
But the weird thing is, is that my recruiter never told me about this...
And right after i left MEPS and told my recruiter about it and he kind of brushed it off and said they got to be "real" college credits?
and then he said something like "oh yea for sure we will look into that and i need your transcripts"
so am i gonna get promoted because i got 15 college credits?

Yes, you can get PFC with 12 semester units or 18 quarter units. They have to be 100 level or higher which means that they count towards a degree. They cannot be under 100 which are remedial courses and no, PE doesn't count.

Im not sure if they count towards a degree but I am taking English, Math, Speech, Spanish...
and I am going to have like 30 something credits before I ship out.

Yeah there both 100. But my math is 60. My spanish was also 100.

Math 60 is supposed to be Algebra. Math is different then the rest because you dont have to go to 100 in order to transfer...
In almost every other subject you need to get to 100 to transfer to a 4 year college but for math you just need to get to math 80.
Man I need to see if I can get this promotion with the classes I have.
