As U.S. Marines we all remember our proud history and traditions. If it weren't for a unit known as the British Royal Marines, we all might be sailors!!! Our roots can be traced back to the elite English warriors of the seas. In fact, several countries around the world have a Marine Corps or branch of service similar to it because they fashioned there forces after the Brits who were a world power and whose span and control reached around the globe. Semper Fidelis!
