Dad wants to go back.

Yea my dad is really considering re-enlisting. But he doesn't think he can so I'm trying to find out for him. He is currently 40 years old and served 7 years in the Marines. Would he be able too? If there is anything else you need to know just let me know I'll answer any questions.

Have him call your local prior service recruiter. It would be the quickest and easiest way to find out for sure.

Thats what I told him but he doesn't bother because of his age. He thinks he's too old although is in great shape for his age.

40-7 = 33 its still possible but i doubt it, there'd be same major waivers. I don't think a recruiter would waste any time. Sorry bud.
