Return Flight to MCT?

After Boot Camp I know you are responsible for travel arrangements home for the 10 day leave you receive but I was just curious if the return flight to MCT is paid by the Marine Corps or by the Marine him/herself?

Also, the 10 days of leave is not mandatory correct? You can only use a few days and return early to check into MCT to save those leave days, correct?

And if a Marine decides to return to MCT prior to the date required, what do they do for the time they are there?

You will handle this all during bootcamp. You will do whats called Final Travel and you will handle bootcamp bills and your travel and stuff like this. Real long, but easy day at the end of bootcamp...hell we had to go 3 times. If you go to MCT early, which I don't recommend, you sit around, work and get treated somewhat like bootcamp, you do firewatch, and camp guard which is really stupid too. Just enjoy your time home...
