So, my Marine recruiter called, knowing that I wanted something to do with computers, and I leave on the 21st of this month, and said. That he has a 'command control/electrican' spot open. And this job has signing bonus of $10,000, after completion of school.

Does anyone have any information about this job?

Can't Edit??

Also, I even looked for MOS's and I can't find the MOS "Command Control"

Wow, that is a pretty sweet bonus. Mine's only 3 grand, and I'm intelligence. Can't wait to get out of this school, it's harder than it sounds.

Anyways, out of the entire 06 field what would you rather be?

Wow, just reading the descriptions of those MOS's, seems pretty confusing, unless I knew the equipment, it was describing. But to me, the MOS doesn't matter in this field, and from a technical aspect, I love a challenge, and they all seem to be parallel in that regard. (Like they all seem the same, unless someone else tells me otherwise) I mean the bonus has to be that high for a reason, must have a high failure rate in the schools.

Honestly, I was originally leaning towards Avionics or ATC.

Is there a chance, that I could change my job in Basic?

---I mean from what I heard, they could look at my scores, see, that I would be better used at a different MOS and approach me?!?

The Army goes to Basic. Our recruits go to boot camp.

The Corps can change your MOS, but it would be a case where they would approach you, not the other way around. To get the MOS you really want, you need it in your contract right from the start.

Well, I guess I better man-up, and take what is given. I mean in the Corps, not everyone gets EXACTLY what they want, not to mention a bonus. (Almost unheard of, from my understanding, still don't know why the bonus is given, thought it was to fill a position, that they need warm bodies; like the Army does infantry)

But, you know there is always the option of changing MOSs after 4 years, but my recruiter said that it would be harder to get promoted if I change my MOS. 5 Years in the Corps, yet only one year in that MOS....
