Greetings Marines.

SPC Kim. Im new here and I thought i'd introduce myself. I joined the board to find some interesting reads on other military branches. The Marines and Army seem to be the only interesting reads I could find.

I am a Specialist (E-4) in the Enlisted Ranks of the U.S. Army. I joined when I was 20 in 2006. I am coming on my 22nd birthday here in good ole' Iraq. I just made my specialist in the month of March. My Military Occupational Specialty is 94L Avionics Communications Equipment Repair Specialist. Basically a fancy way to say I fix helicopter comms.

I was born in South Korea, and moved to the U.S. when I was 4. I am getting my citizenship in April also. Thanks to the great help of the legal services in the Army. This is my first time in Iraq, and being an Aviation soldier for the Army...things seem to be alright for me. I can imagine if I would've picked a combat MOS it would've been slightly different story.

I am interested in military history and traditions. I joined the Army to become part of one of the most respected organizations in this country. I am proud to serve this country, because I see the difference it has made in not only my life, but my country as well.

I am working on my officer packet to go commission. There are many things in the Army I don't understand, and that hinders my decision to stay in, but if I do decide to stay in, I want to make a difference.

Anywho, a sort of long short version of my bio for you guys.

Thanks everyone,

SPC. KIM
