I was wondering why doesn't the Marine Corps use the new Stryker APC like the Army does. I'm not positive, but I thought the Marine Corps used the LAV. Why the LAV vs the Stryker? Thanks for any answers.

Who's got the money, son? The Marines will get them when the Army fuks em up, and gets bored with them. Probally put better guns on em too.

Does the Stryker have amphibious capabilities?

I have lots of friends that are 0313's and they said that they just love the LAV more than the stryker...don't know why...I will ask them when my leave is over and I see them again.

lav-25s nice for the 13's cause the get 25 mike mike, the new 240 bravos and all the thermo vision crap, but the things small as hell for us scouts in the back we can barely fit a fireteam lol!

One, it can't float like the LAV. Second the LAV was chosen due to it's weight. It can be air lifted by Marine helo's, if I remember right somewhere around 16 tons. The stryker is to much bigger and heavier for Marine helo's to lift.
They told us you could put 6 scouts in the back. We were hard pressed to get 4 with all the gear. 3 was a crowd. When you put it in the water it leaked like a siv.
