Another Reserves question.

I am going to join the Marine Corps and am considering joing the reserves for a couple of years and then transfering to active duty. I know that a reserve unit gets his MOS based on his location and reserve unit. In my case, Madison WI (Infantry). My question is: If I am a reserve 03XX and I choose to transfer to active duty, will I autmatically become Active 03XX, or can I choose a new MOS upon this 're-enlistment'.

You won't get to pick. You may or may not be an 03, it is based on the needs of the Marine Corps. It is a totally different process. It used to be pretty difficult to move from the reserve to active duty- but it is probably easier to do now.
