Veterans Day Profile of Jason Dunham On NBC

Medal of Honor recipient Jason Dunham of Scio will be profiled on a special Veteran's Day salute on NBC Nightly News. The Marine Corporal
died in 2004 while saving fellow Marines.
Dunham was posthumously honored in January with the military's highest honor during a White House ceremony where his parents, Deb and Dan Dunham, met with President Bush. They also learned in March that a Navy Destroyer will be named in his honor.
The Dunhams say they will spend this weekend quietly with their family at their Allegany County home to observe Jason's birthday. His birthday coincides with the anniversary for the Marine Corps.
Deb and Dan Dunham say they have been adopted by the Marines with many thousands of new friends.
They especially stay in touch with the Marines
who served with their son. That includes the Marines who were saved when Corporal Dunham shielded them by falling on a grenade.
