My buddy and I are looking to join the Marines. We're going to be 17 by february, and I know in the Army you may join then and go to bootcamp. Is there a porgram or an opportunity such as this? I'd like to go to bootcamp over summer between my junior and senior year of high school. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Andrew

If your parents will sign you can enlist into the Delayed Entry Program. But, you won't be going to boot camp or anything until you're done with school.

The DEP is a good thing though, you'll PT and learn from the recruiters and get prepared for boot camp.

I wanted to do the same thing but couldn't...I ended up pushing myself and graduating after my junior year of high school so that I could be a Marine. I'm now 18 years old and have been in for over a year and I don't regret a thing. It just depends on how motivated you are to become a Marine.
