MCT question

Hey guys i graduated bootcamp on the 14th of september and im getting ready to leave for MCT. Im curious, do i have to bring all my utilities with me and also all of my dress uniform things? I know it says in the packet if your reporting to SOI to bring all that stuff, but its not that clear on MCT. If anyone can clear this up that will be great.

Yes. You bring ALL of your issued gear. Right after you will be heading to MOS school.

To clear this up for ALL Poolees and ALL new Marines:

EVERY Marine...EVERY Marine....is that part settling in....EVERY Marine: goes to SOI. From there, you split off into ITB and MCT.

EVERY, SINGLE, Marine....goes to SOI.

Has that stuck in your brain housing group yet?

Haffner, while it is true that SOI is made up of MCT and ITB- it is very common to refer to ITB as SOI instead.

Regardless, as a Marine you're responsible for all of the clothing and equipment issued to you. You won't be going home before you go to your MOS school- and you may just be expected to prove that you have all of your uniform items at some point.
