I'm 31 years old. Is there any way I could get an age waiver to join the Marine Corps?

As a Marine Recruiter told me, if you're no more than 32 years of age and have at least 4 (or 8, not certain) years of prior military service, then you could get a waiver.

No matter how many times you say it, a Marine Veteran covering your Six O'clock Position is the Best coverage you can get!

You might want to look into it because I had a 30 year old in my platoon and the other platoon in our series had a 35 year old. There are waivers. It might depend on what kind of job you have now. Prior military service definitely helps, but neither of those women had any when I went through. Ask a recruiter and just be persistant is your best bet.

OPEN SEASON,,NO BAG LIMIT.

I like THAT one!

I tried getting back in when I turned 40 and the Recruiter pretty much told me that the Corps was still looking for a few good men, not a few old ladies! So, can I join the Senior Team? I have no problem with the whole "kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out" thing. And, I don't believe in asking questions first either. :)

You need to talk to a recruiter... but we've got some fairly old guys here. 35 I think is the oldest I've run across.

I had a recruit in my platoon that was 33, no prior enlisted service. He was in really good shape, though. He had a 270 PFT when he enlisted into the DEP so they took him.

So, who really knows. The Corps is trying to expand, afterall. Just get in hot**** tip top shape and you may have a good fighting chance!
