Just graduated August 17th, Platoon 2070, Fox Company 2nd BN. It sucked, but not as bad as I thought it would. I'm just glad to be going home right now.

Hey everyone, I'm a platoon mate of Kane's and I know he knows exactly who this is. It's good to see you hear, Kane. I was hoping other people would start showing up. Yeah, it did suck, but it was worth it and so much more.

I'll go ahead and answer the question about the Drill Instructors. Our Senior DI was SDI Staff Sergeant Woodbridge, our heavy hat was Sgt. Vereen and our two kill hats were Sgt's Ross and Holliday. I have nothing but the utmost respect for those Marines.

Sweet jumpin jarheads by the looks of these pics my beloved Corps has gone soft and given you pups a luxurious barracks. I didnt have it that good in the SNCO Quarters. Well I reckon its a toss up the E-Club, NCO Club and Staff Clubs dont offer you the same standards as they did us now for you nor does the VA. Sweet pics immaproshooter thanks for coming back and sharing with the the Poolee's who are where you were not long ago, the ones you will pass the torch too. That shows me commitment OORAH!!!

ya i will say it probably has gotten really soft but thats cause of "Mother America"....its politics..but hey i can at least say i didnt stay in the barracks much at all...we were out in the field jsut about the entire time...now if you were an 11 and were in the weapons platoon you were in the barracks every night....but didnt bother me one bit they got to enjoy their airconditioning and all we had our fun in the field shootin every day they sat in class rooms till the last week...lol

Holy ****! SSgt. Woodbridge was my D.I. in Fox's last cycle. He was only our D.I. but he took care of us like a S.D.I. (cause he was training for that S.D.I. billet he has now). He's a good man.

Sgt. Holliday trained with us for 3 days when he first got to the Island from MCRDSD. We were on the range at the time and he always managed to get in the way when we were drilling till SSgt. Woodbridge made him stand to the side whenever he was correcting us.

Where you lead or follow series? Which deck?

Pudding
08-21-07, 12:51 PM
We were third deck follow.

BR34
08-21-07, 04:56 PM
I was right under you. 2nd deck, with D.I. SSgt Woodbridge, S.D.I. SSgt Aranda, and D.I. SSgt Milford. Is D.I. SSgt Milford still around?

sparkie

Laundry room????? They tryin to save money on scrub brushes? What happens when you issue a shower field day on some jerk? you got no scrub brushes!

Marine Kane
08-22-07, 01:15 AM
Yeah, Milford is still around. I think he was a heavy in nasty lead series.
