I know about expedia, cheap hotels and such, but is there a website for the hotels on base for San Diego?

Most hotels and airlines have their own sites - go directly to them and book them that way - you can still shop it before you book it.

I believe the only thing available is the TEQ. Your family can stay there from Wen. to Sat. of the week you graduate. Below is copy and pasted from the MCRD SD website.

Way it sounds, probably better to stay in a hotel outside base a few miles away...

There is an area known as "Hotel Circle" that is near MCRD. That is where I would stay. But, the deal on base isn't bad. It won't be quite as nice as a hotel, but it is very cheap, close to where they'll need to be for graduation, and is available.
