How often are field days/Squad Bay inspections carried out in boot camp?

Well that depends on your Drill Instructors, and how well you perform as a platoon. I have had to Field day my barn three times in one day! Then I have gone two weeks with none or only one! You can depnd on several before you graduate to make sure the squad bay is clean when you leave! ;)

For us, our "official" field day was Sunday evening, with the field day inspection being the following morning. If you failed you had to spend Monday eveing re-field daying. You could spend that time tightening up your drill or cleaning weapons.

Also any downtime will usually be spent cleaning also. You will clean a lot in the military in general.
