The Readjustment Begins for Company B Families
(WSBT) Sunday was the first full day several local military families got to spend with their Marines from South Bend-based Company B.

The Marines arrived home Saturday evening after spending seven months in Iraq.

More than 1000 people gathered at the reserve center to welcome them back with open arms.

The men and women will now have to get used to being home and away from their fellow Marines, which some of them say can be a hard transition.

"I'm not even driving yet," says Cpl. Mike Beckwith. "She has to do all the driving. Everything's really fast. We drove about five miles per hour everywhere we went."

"I feel like I've missed a lot but I'm glad that I can be back so they can share their stories with me of everything that I've missed and just get to sharing it that way."

The Marines will work half days until next weekend, when they go on 96-hour leave. Maj. Celeste Ross says she expects the unit to be deployed to Iraq again in the future, though she doesn't know when.
