My grandfather happened to be one of the very first radar operators. He was in the Army-Air Corps, served throughout the Pacific along with the 4th Marines. He's told me some great stories about that. Even to this day he can still remember the names of the different systems he used. :thumbup:

It may well have been an important piece of technology, but in the photo it looks like a cobbled together piece of junk!:D Go figure...
