They have been very quiet about 4th Combined Action Group in Iraq..I know they are there,but no press..anyone here know?:usmc:

Is that the same as a CAP Patoon? ( Combined action )

CAG- in Iraq-civic affairs groups
CAG- in RVN-combined action groups
two different entities and im sure makeup
in RVN we were 14 man platoons(including corpsman)we had no officers,all enlisted and had PF's and RF's with us,depending on the makeup of your village or TAO.we ran ambushes every night,day patrols from our day havens(where we set up during the day)
the new Iraq CAG's were brought back into being by Gen.Mattis,1st MEF.i think they are led by officers,do a lot of training of Iraq soldiers,have even run some bootcamps im told-thats my take anyway.
