Why I Want to Become a Marine

Serve my country, while doing it as one of the best of the best
Have a certain distinction that many other Americans dont have
Feel like I will make a difference
Fight, lol
Earn the title of Marine

For me, why the Marines over the other branches?

Army? Nahhhh. It didnt appeal to me at all
Air Force? Not physical enough, i wanna be at the front, which is where the Air Force is not
Navy? Ill admit, this was a close one for me...i thought about the Navy, but something about the Marines sounded more like me.
Coast Guard? No combat, even though i have mad respect for the CG after seeing 'The Guardian'

My question is, why did you all(as in current and former Marines) enlist? What was your motivation and want to become a Marine? Why did you choose the Marines over the other branches? im just curious about everyone else's motivation.
