It is with deep regret that we must announce the passing of our fellow Marine, Roger E. Colemen. Roger E. Coleman, 76, of Mahopac died suddenly on January 25, 2003 of natural causes. He was born November 15, 1926 in White Plains, NY to Katherine Loughman and Richard F. Coleman, both deceased. He is survived by one son, Roger A. Coleman of White Plains. Predeceased by one daughter, Karen Ann Coleman, two brothers, Richard Coleman and John Coleman and one sister, Ann Elizabeth O'Driscoll. Mr. Coleman was educated in White Plains where he was a lifelong resident He was a member of American Legion Post 135 and Knights of Columbus, both White Plains and the Westchester County Emerald Society. Mr. Coleman was a White Plains Police Officer and a veteran of the Marine Corps 1944-1946. Visiting Tuesday 5-9 pm at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 am at St. Bernard's Church. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westchester Association for Retarded Children.
