What significance does AFADB have on your pay?

AFADB – Armed Forces Active Duty Base Date. Shows TOTAL years of active duty. ... Only Marines on Active Duty will have a AFADB.
It appears that it would affect your pay by your ablity to be promoted.

With all do respect SSgt, all Marines will have a AFADB. If it is not on your MOL or MBS you need to contact your admin section.
