Dear Sir,
I am the Marine that was on the team. I too would like to obtain some articles that were written about my fights before making the Marine Corps' team. I participated in many Smokers at lejeune. I tried out for the Marine Corps Boxing team the first time in 1984, but lost in the semi-finals. In 1985, I fought at 178 lbs and won the light heavy weight title and went down to 165 lbs. I actually won that bout at 171 lbs.
I also had several Smokers bouts in Okinawa, in 1982-83, at Lejeune in 1983-84, and at Tustin in 1984, before going back to Lejeune to tryout for the Team.
