USMC 920th Platoon 1943

I am searching for any information on the deployment/history of this Platoon (920th 1943 San Diego). I know they were deployed to the Pacific theater...but not much info after that. My father didn't talk much about his time in the war, and of couse, it's too late to ask.

So, if anyone has info or sugestions on how to find (if possible) more about the 920th, I'd be more than greatful.... I'm striking out, any ideas?
