I know I haven't been an active poster on this board but, I've checked it everyday since I joined and gathered as much information as possible.I graduate from high school tomorrow. My recruiter picks me up Sunday and I hit The Island on Monday. Thanks to all poolees for posting all your questions and to the Marines for answering those questions.

Good luck to all Poolee's. And remember everything that your drill instructors will instill in your heads. Remember all of the fellow brothers and everybody who has gone before you and stepped on those footprints.

The one piece of advice I would give is to soak it all in. Sure, there will be some times you think enlisting was the dumbest thing you've ever done. There will be times you question your own sanity. That is all a part of the process. But, starting Monday you begin a journey that could be 4 years, could be 30, but will be the best time of your life. Soak in every detail to the best of your ability. The stories will be with you for a lifetime. Don't deprive your great-grandson of the experience of hearing you tell him about your time in the Marines.

I couldn't agree more - even we women have a few stories of our own. You girls carry on the tradition of THE FEWER THE PROUDER THE WOMEN MARINES!
