Check this out...I live in virginia Beach and just recently the Marine base next to me (little creek amphibious base), are starting to patoral the city as if they were in iraq, they said this would help Marines train and get used to working in an urban area. This is kinda cool because the other day i was driving from my house I saw like 7 hummers just crusing around, they had the gunn turrets and everything.

My unit is going to be doing the same thing in one of the towns here in South Texas. We basically go in, run convoy security, checkpoints, a few other things. This allows us to train in an actual city around actual civilians, simulating urban ops that we would perform in Iraq. Hopefully we can leave the Mortars behind and participate instead of sitting on our butts for 3 days.
